Kadahor Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant is built on Altintas Stream, which is a branch of Degirmendere, on the way to Sumela Monastery in Macka District of Trabzon province. The water transmission line consists of a Modified Horse-shoe Section Tunnel with a length of 3100 meters. Its design particularly features a tunnel to preserve the uniqueness of Sumela Monastery and the region. Kadahor Reg. Ve HES consists of 3 Francis type turbines with a total power capacity of 9,362 MWm/9,362 MWe and an annual production capacity of 23,338 GWh. Its operation started on 07.02.2015. The energy produced is transmitted to Maçka TM via 36 kV ENH. It is within the scope of YEKDEM.
